Are you interested in photography, writing, or design? Aurean is an annual yearbook publication produced by students as part of an elective class. Members of Aurean staff are responsible for the planning, advertising, photography, writing, and design of pages in the yearbook.

The Beacons program engages young people as leaders and learners to create equitable schools and communities. Beacons turns schools into community centers by running free, high-quality programs after school and in the summer–all focused on belonging, relationships, enrichment and learning.

Students will explore a wide variety of vocal music styles including: classical, gospel, contemporary/pop and multi-cultural. Students will have the opportunity to perform in a variety of settings and venues throughout the year.

Are you interested in shooting trap as part of a team? The Clay Target League (Trap Club) is a year-round club. Members shoot at the West End Trap Club in Eagan and take part in both the fall and spring high school leagues as well as summer and winter leagues and regional and national meets.

Need experience to get your first job? Interested in learning more about running your own business? DECA provides students with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in several aspects of business operations, and compete against others across the state in business and career events.

The Econ Challenge engages high school students in real world problem solving and critical-thinking as they test their awareness of economic principles and current events. Competition season is January-April.

Fall competitive sports run August-early November. Registration begins around August 1 for all fall sports. Fall sports include: Cross Country, Dance Team, Football, Soccer, Swim & Dive, Tennis (Girls), Trap Team, and Volleyball.

First Robotics is a varsity sport for your mind! Under strict rules, limited resources, and time limits, teams are challenged to raise funds, design a team “brand,” hone teamwork skills, and build and program robots to perform prescribed tasks against a field of competitors. It’s as close to “real-world engineering” as you can get!

Join the Gaming Club and play Smashbros! And, try out eSports like RocketLeague and League of Legends.

Attention female students - Girl Scouts want you! Their high school program focuses on healthy relationships, college and career readiness, leadership development, service learning, and financial literacy.

G.L.O.W. is a group of RHS students who work to create safe spaces and talk about the various issues they face in school and their broader community.

All students in the RHS band program will have individual band lessons during the school day and can participate in Honor Bands and audition for Honor Ensembles around the state.

The goal of Me to We is to empower young leaders to dream big and accelerate global change by providing opportunities to serve. The group's focus is local education paired with global action.

Mindsong is Richfield High School's literary/art journal. Students submit original short stories, poems, song lyrics, works of nonfiction, artwork, and/or photography. It's a yearly publication distributed in June.

NHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. Chapter membership not only recognizes students for their accomplishments, but challenges them to develop further through active involvement in school activities and community service.

Do you want to make a difference and have fun doing it? If so, the Optimist Club is the perfect place for you! Club meetings are once a month.

¡Qué Onda! is a 12-week Latino youth leadership program that takes place once a year. During the program, students participate in fun activities while learning about reproductive health.

Marching band is for students enrolled in the band program as well as students not enrolled in band class. The marching band is made up of the following groups: Honor Guard, Color Guard, The Block and Drum Line.

Spring competitive sports run March-early June. Registration begins mid-February for all spring sports. Spring sports include: Baseball, Golf, Softball, Synchronized Swimming, Tennis (Boys), Track & Field, and Trap Team.

Do you want to make decisions, plan events, and lead others? If so, then Student Government needs you! Student Government provides leadership for school and community events, including yearly blood drives, school dances, theme weeks, gift drives, and staff appreciation days.

The Tabletop Games Club goal is to provide an environment where students can have fun learning and playing many different types of games from role playing games, collectible card games, board games, and everything in between. 

The theatre department has many opportunities for students to participate in, on and off the stage. No experience is necessary to be part of the cast or crew, and new students are encouraged to get involved. Auditions are required to be considered for the casts of the fall play, One-Act play, and spring musical. 

Would you like to get in a workout after school or get in shape before your season begins? The weight room is open Monday-Thursday from 3:30-4:15 p.m. for all RHS students.

Winter competitive sports run November-early March. Registration begins after MEA for all winter sports. Winter sports include: Basketball, Dance Team, Floor Hockey (Adapted), Gymnastics, Hockey, Skiing, Swim & Dive, and Wrestling.
