• School starts at 8:40 a.m. and releases at 3:30 p.m.

This is a general list. Some classes may ask for specific items that can be purchased after the first day of school.

• Breakfast and lunch are free for all students! You don't need to do anything. 
• Although meals are free, we encourage all families to complete the Application for Educational Benefits, which provides benefits for both you and the district.
• You can find lunch menus on MealViewer, which you can access at this website or with the MealViewer app.
• Special dietary requests: If your child has special dietary requests, please have their medical doctor complete the Special Diet Request Form and return it to the school nurse at your child's school. Nutrition services staff will partner with both the school nurse and the family to make accommodations in the case of a disability. We will make reasonable accommodations based on the wide inventory of items that we usually have in inventory for all other requests.

When dropping your student off at school, please familiarize yourself with the following procedures. 

Morning Drop-Off: 

• Students should not be dropped off before 8:10 a.m.
• Due to bus unloading procedures, all families are expected to use the main entrance within our main parking lot (door 4). In order to maintain safety, please do not use another entrance.
• If you need to enter the building, do not leave your vehicle parked in the drop off lane. You can park in a visitor parking spot. 

Afternoon Pickup:

• Student dismissal is at 3:30 p.m.
• Pickup is at the main entrance in our parking lot (door 4).
• Buses load on the Harriet Street entrance. Families, please do not pick up on Harriet Avenue at the end of the day. If you prefer Harriet Avenue, please plan for pickup at 3:45 p.m. or later. 
• Students are not allowed to ride a bus home that is not assigned to them. This means that your child may not ride the bus home with a friend or relative that has a different bus assignment.

Early Pickup: 

• If students need to leave school early due to appointments, parents/guardians should call the attendance line at 612-798-6115 or email rhsattendance@rpsmn.org prior to the start of the school day.

• ParentSquare is our districtwide communication tool, where you will receive information from your child's teacher, our school and the district. 
• You don't need to do anything. However, if you would like up change how often you are being notified, update your language settings or see all of your alerts and messages in one place, you can create a ParentSquare account. 
• Access ParentSquare on a computer, phone browser or through the ParentSquare App.
