RHS Boys Basketball Playing for Third in State

The boys basketball team is in the State Tournament! Find all the details here.

After an incredible season, finishing 27-2, winning the section championship, and advancing to the State Tournament semifinals, the boys basketball team fell 70-73 to DeLaSalle. We are overwhelmingly proud of the team and their coaches for their hard work and dedication this season.

We invite you to attend the Spartans' next game and help us cheer them on in the third place game!

State Tournament Third Place Game: 

  • Date: Saturday, March 28, 2026
  • Time: Noon 
  • Location: Concordia University - Gangelhoff Center
  • Opponent: Northfield

This team has given us so much to celebrate, from an incredible regular season to a memorable run at State. Their hard work, teamwork and commitment to one another have been evident every step of the way. We are proud of our student-athletes, coaches and everyone who supported them throughout this journey.

Thank you to our fans who showed up and cheered them on – your support made a difference. Please join us in congratulating the team on an outstanding season, and we hope to see you at Concordia to cheer them on in the third place game.


Student Fan Bus Information: 

We will be running student fan buses to this game. Tickets for the student fan bus are $5 and will go on sale in the Athletic Office on Friday before school, beginning at 8:20 a.m., during lunches and after school until 4 p.m. The fan bus will depart RHS at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday. 

To ride the fan bus, students must:

  • Submit a fan bus permission slip. 
  • Pay $5. 
  • Have a valid ticket to the game.

Students who have already submitted a fan bus permission slip do not need to submit another.

The boys basketball team won their State quarterfinal game 72-62 against Sartell to advance in to semifinals!

State Tournament Semifinals:

  • Time: 2 p.m. 
  • Location: Williams Arena (U of M)

As a reminder, please review the MSHSL fan behavior expectations, as well as the rules and guidelines provided by Williams Arena. All fans in attendance must follow these guidelines. Prohibited items include vaping or tobacco products, alcohol or illegal substances, weapons or look-alike items, balloons, confetti, noise-makers, and large or inappropriate signs.

Students should leave their bags at school, and should not plan to leave anything on the bus during the game. Williams Arena enforces a strict clear bag policy:

  • Clear bags up to 12” x 6” x 12”
  • One-gallon plastic bags
  • Small clutch or purse (4.5” x 6.5” or smaller)

Students who do not follow expectations may lose the opportunity to attend future events, be removed from the event (parent/guardian pick-up required) and/or face school disciplinary action.
