Marching Spartans Success

Congratulations on an incredible conclusion to the competitive marching season at the Vikingland Band Festival in Alexandria! “This year's group has continued to create increasingly engaging performances and set new heights for our program,” said Marching Spartans Director Chad Armbruster.

Highlights of the season:

  • Class Championship in Owatonna: A first in our program's history!
  • New Program High Score at the Lake Waconia Band Festival
  • 2nd Place Finish in Class AA at the Vikingland Band Festival, tying a school record
  • Best Drum Major, Best Colorguard and Best Winds awards at the Owatonna Festival
  • Highest Colorguard Score among all 13 groups at the 40th Annual Vikingland Band Festival
  • $1,000 Scholarship awarded to Harrison Cha in Alexandria

“Thank you to all who have made time to volunteer, provide transportation and all of the much needed support our student performers rely on to be successful,” said Mr. Armbruster. “My most sincere thanks to our highly skilled staff of instructors: Mike, Owen, Ryan, Jamie and Jeff have all given a great deal of time and shared decades of experience and expertise in preparing this year's group for success.”

We hope to see our Richfield Community at the Richfield 4th of July parade to cheer on our Marching Spartans in their last parade march of the season. Go, Spartans!
