Seniors, we are so excited to announce that we are part of the Direct Admissions pilot program through the Minnesota Office of Higher Education. High school seniors who meet eligibility requirements and who are on track to graduate in spring 2023 have the opportunity to participate in this program, which means they will be automatically accepted into various colleges and universities based on academic performance — and applying to these colleges is free!
Students who are on track to graduate in June 2023 (and their families) received an email on October 1 with more information and a list of the colleges they have been granted admission to. Please note that even though students have been directly admitted to these colleges, they still need to apply by the school’s application deadline.
If you received a letter:
- Review the information about Direct Admissions on the Career & College Readiness page and on the MN Office of Higher Education website.
- Read your personal list of colleges that you have been granted admission to. Then, confirm your interest in one or more of the colleges to which you have been directly admitted on the Google form that was in the notification email.
- Review your institutions' application deadlines and submit applications. When you are ready to apply, check out the websites for the colleges you are most interested in to make sure you have all your application materials ready (some schools may require an essay, test scores or other materials).
