Proactive, approachable and diligent are three words that senior Bryan Herron would use to describe himself. One of his teachers, Karah Holle, agrees. “Bryan has a confident, friendly and contagious attitude. He's polite and kind. I look forward to seeing him every day!”
“Leslie can be quiet in class, but don't be fooled. She is a fearless leader. She steps up and helps other students and is even able to do so bilingually,” says her teacher, Ms. Toedter. “Leslie is an extremely hard worker and is never afraid to ask questions to further her learning. It is apparent that she cares deeply for others, and she is always kind and helpful inside and outside of the classroom.
“Jaedyn is well-known around the school and has a smile that can brighten any room he walks into,” says Zach Hanson, Jaedyn’s math teacher at RHS. “He brings positivity and a strong work ethic to everything he does and works hard to ensure he is meeting the high standards he sets for himself.”
Congratulations to our new eSports teams, who finished their seasons in the top 18 and 22 percent against high school teams across the Midwest! Both our League of Legends team and our Rocket League team advanced to playoffs in their first season of competitive play.
We are pleased to share that Chris Peterson has been hired. as our new Activities Director. Mr. Peterson is currently a Social Studies teacher at RHS and has been with RPS for 22 years.

Director of Student Support Services, Christina Gonzalez, has been awarded the Park Nicollet Foundation 2022 Community Service Award for her leadership, dedication and commitment to supporting students and families.
Richfield High School students in the CIS: Climate Crisis class, along with members of the RHS Green Team, worked to construct an aquaponics system in the science wing. Read more about it and watch a student video here.
The 2021 graduation rates have been released. We are excited to share that we have made consistent gains in many areas at both RHS and RCEP.
